A fairy tale becoming a nightmare
“Halloween Phobias” premiered on the threshold of Halloween night. This ambient play was presented for the first time at the “Art Factory LOFTAS” where was merged into a fairy-tale like Halloween party afterwards.
The play takes place in a uniquely designed and constructed stage with a multi-layered structures. The costumes and scenography are made by the designer Robertas Kalinkinas.
The play is performed by a cast of thirty dancers. Their dances convey stories and emotions that are feared even to mention. During the play the spectator is challenged to breach his comfort zone, to witness terrifying cultist rituals and fearsome religious ceremonies. The stage is full of darkness saturated by the colour of blood. Fear of height amongst all other phobias is brought up to the scene in an unconventional way.
On the premiere night the play advanced and merge into a wild Halloween feast where dancers and actors partied together with all the crowd till the very first dawn of morning. Special costumes, make-up and music heated up the atmosphere.
