The synthesis of emotions, plastic, live music and costumes
Chamber dance performance “The Birds”, which is based on Contemporary Ballet motifs, is a new project of Gytis Ivanauskas Theatre. Modern costumes created by Tomas Bagackas visually correspond with stereotypic look of birds: friableness of feathers, multicolour scale of tones, and feeling of freedom. The performance author, choreographer Gytis Ivanauskas invokes Contemporary Ballet and creates different dance compositions: delicate, and based on interpretations.
Music is performed by New Ideas Chamber Orchestra (NICO) and directed by composer Gediminas Gelgotas. It presents modern classical compositions, which highlights the main idea of the performance even more – to identify superficial resemblance of birds with inner condition of people. This project is unique by its live sound on the stage, deep feeling of easthetics, precision classical dance and instrumental music.
Performed by masters of Dance: Gytis Ivanauskas, Naglis Bierancas, Irina Nazarenko, Simona Paciukonyte.
Premiere March 11, 2011
